Discover, Learn – Remember – April 25 and 26 2009 is ‘Lest we Forget’ at Founders Heritage Park, Nelson from 9.30 to 5 daily – $2 a head entry.
Lest we Forget – from the minute you walk through the gates you will be immersed in wartime history from 2 world wars – read local peoples war stories land girls to POW’s, Home Guard to Soldiers in the ‘Walls of Remembrance Display’. Walk through a reconstructed WW1 Comand Post Trench, watch battle re-enactments and evacuee children waving goodbye to their familes. Music, drama, displays – and more. Also live Theatre – ‘Paschendaele’ 7pm April 23 and 24 and 2pm and 7pm over the Lest we Forget event. $10 adult for Theatre. By Dramatic Theatre Development Trust.
