Nelson Chardonnay Rated New Zealand’s best 2014

Kina Beach, a small Nelson vineyard, has topped the Autumn Chardonnay tasting held annually by WineNZ magazine for the second consecutive year. It is the first time in the eighteen-year history of the magazine that any wine producer has won back-to- back titles in a tasting of the same grape variety. The Kina Beach Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay 2011 was the only Chardonnay to be awarded five stars, beating off competition from throughout New Zealand. “Beautiful and welcoming” Reviewed October 21, 2013 We stayed at Bronte both before and after a multi-day hiking and kayaking trip in Abel Tasman. It was a terrific jumping-off spot. The room was very nice, with a beautiful view, and Daniel's breakfasts were truly wonderful. The garden and pool were lovely, and Daniel stored our luggage for us while we were in Abel Tasman, so it was terrifically convenient. (The Abel Tasman tour people picked us up and dropped us off at the lodge, so we didn't need a car.) When our driver didn't show up to take us to the airport, Daniel quickly made alternate...
