Tim MacKay
Tim MacKay stayed with us for a few days in Decemeber 08, enjoying Nelson’s lovely weather, the Abel Tasman National Park and other activities the Nelson region has to offer. Tragically he lost his life on the 17th of July 09 in Jakarta from a bomb blast while attending a meeting at his hotel. Tim enjoyed his stay with us very much and left a lovely comment in our visitor’s book which later was published in our new brochure.
We wish to convey our sincere condolences to his family.

Rainbow will open this Saturday 4th of July for the 2009 season. They have a good 50 cm of snow around the base area thanks to their tireless team of snow makers who work through the cold and dark hours to bring everyone snow. The intermediate platter and learners areas will be operating. There is not enough cover to open the upper field at this stage, however the weather pattern for the next week is looking productive with plenty of natural snow on the way so fingers crossed.
